Russia Second Rehearsal

Just before the lunch break here in Gliwice we have our first and only duet of the competition. And there are positives and negatives to that.

Dressed in galactic jumpsuits looking ready to be beamed in to space, having two singers on stage provides opportunity to embrace vocal harmony which is sadly lacking from a lot of competitors this year. But given Tatyana Mezhentseva (who co-wrote the lyrics) and Denberel Oorzhak (looking recovered after being rushed to hospital earlier this week when he collapsed during their first rehearsal) are friends from the Children's New Wave contest, there could be more of a connection between them both singing.

A Time For Us will be Russia's 15th effort having only missed the first two editions of Junior Eurovision. Like main Eurovision, they are always to be found in the upper-half of the table, having exclusively finished in the top 10, winning twice and finishing 2nd twice.
