Georgia Second Rehearsal

My default position is not to like anything that Georgia send to Eurovision (much as the opportunity to return to Tbilisi would be fantastic). That said, the more and more I've listened to this one, the more it's laid-back lounge-jazz "bah dah bah bah"s have grown on me!

The arena and stage doesn't differ wildly in size to what we're used to seeing in May, but of course the performers being 9-14 years old means it's potentially even easier for them to get lost in the middle of it all. No such problem for Giorgi Rostiashvili with hundreds upon hundreds of red heart-shaped balloons providing the visual stimuli on the giant screen, as well as dropping from the ceiling of Arena Gliwice for a climatic end to We Need Love.

Georgia are another nation that enjoy elevated success at the Junior edition compared to the adult contest. Only once have they failed to make the top 10 since their first outing in 2007, with a hat-trick of victories under their belts.

David Webster will be reporting live from rehearsals throughout the day on Gateway 97.8 ( For UK commentary with ESC Insight's Ewan Spence and Ben Robertson, tune in to Castlepoint FM on Sunday 24th November from 15:00 GMT.
